The Miraculous 'Uncle Ethan's Coffee Oil'

My husband and I would like to give a clear (and hopefully concise) breakdown of what exactly the coffee oil is, what its used for, and why its worth taking a second look at.

The coffee oil is a product that can be used by itself anywhere on the body. The results of using it facially are outstanding. The caffeine reduces inflammation and redness in the skin. It helps to constrict blood vessels. It promotes skin elasticity and will help get rid of fine lines, wrinkles, and cellulite. Many of our customers use it as an overnight moisturizer to relieve baggy under eyes.

The coffee oil is made through and infusion process that Ethan uses. The base is coconut oil so you are gaining all of the benefits of coconut oil as well as the benefits of the caffeine.

Because we are not using any synthetic ingredients or a waterbase topical, the oil reaches a strength and moisturization which will eliminate dead skin cells. It is quick absorbing. Coconut oil is antiviral antifungal. Coconut oil contains three fatty acids; capric acid, lauric acid, and caprylic acid. These three fatty acids are so spectacular because they kill candida which is one of the most common causes of fungal infections. Coconut oil also contains a generous amount of vitamin E which is an antioxidant. This will prolong the natural progression of wrinkles.

Getting more specifically into the constituent of the caffeine, it has the ability to draw out excess fluid from fat cells to improve the skins appearance.

You can bet that when summer rolls around we will be making all natural SPF skin protectant out of our coffee oils!

The university of Washington ran an experiment in which they exposed healthy skin cells and UV damaged skin cells to caffeine. The caffeine helps it to eliminate the damaged cells while not harming any of the healthy cells. And, when applied to the skin, caffeine will absorb UVB rays. Pretty impressive, huh?

This is all dandy, but what’s to say that rubbing a caffeinated product on your skin will do anything? In other words, how does it actually work? The most direct and quickest route of caffeine through the skin is through the hair follicles. After a topical application, caffeine will be detected in the blood after about five minutes when placed over hair follicles; 20 minutes if not applied to hair follicles. You can think of the hair follicles as a long-term reservoir. In addition to that, caffeine is also water and fat soluble and can actually even be applied as a transdermal as well as a topical! So to sum it up and simplify it, caffeine can be absorbed through the skin similarly to other constituents that we may apply to the skin; for example muscle rubs & steroid creams.

One of our favorite products to make with our coffee oil‘s are fragranced soaps. This is because you get an all over benefit of the caffeine daily. It’s an easy and direct way to maintain healthy skin. We specifically find oil‘s that will also benefit your body instead of harming it in the way that synthetic fragrances can. And because our products are so concentrated, a little goes a long way!

If ever there is a question or a comment about our products or the process of applying caffeine to the skin, please email us or contact us through our website and we would be happy to help!
